The Brian Brooks Moving Company offers a wide range of classes
for adults and children in all levels of technique.
Moving Dance (Brooks) involves warm-up exercises,
movement combinations, and floor work, with an emphasis on precision
in time and space. Students develop strength, agility, and coordination.
Modern Dance and Partnering (Gish) focuses on
weight shifts and balances for either the individual or partnering
couple.
Pilates (Lee and Pauly) is based on a series
of core-strengthening exercises created by Joseph Pilates.
Fully Functional Training (Pauly) is a fitness class
that combines elements of Pilates, Calisthenics, Plyometrics,
and Sports Training. Bring water.
Choreography (Brooks) Available to students of all ages
and levels, this workshop leads participants through the process
of creating and exploring movement, in addition to composing,
observing, and critiquing dances. |
